Tauern Spa Kaprun - Austria location overview

The new spa and wellness complex of Tauern Spa Kaprun is scheduled to open its doors in November 2010. At 85 million plus euros it promises to be something very special.

It is located in the Alps, between Salzburg and Innsbruck.  About one and quarter hours away from Salzburg, around  one and a half hours away from Innsbruck and with Munich airport about a two and a half hour away, with a scenic drive to enhance the journey!  There are regular flights to all three city locations throughout the year, with  alternative Austrian flights destinations available.
 
For those who travel by train there is  the Austrian railway service - OBB, offering a punctual and frequent service around Austria. With the excellent Austrian road network all in all getting to and from the Kaprun and Zell am See is made very easy.

The spa complex is located just to the north of the village of Kaprun close  to Zell am See. It sits in the valley bottom adjacent to the 36 hole championship golf course of the  Zellamsee-Kaprun club.  Views directly across the valley of the 3000+ metre plus mighty Kitzsteinhorn  famous for its glacier are bound to impress.

Across the valley to the south can be seen  Kaprun castle / Burg commanding views up and down the valley, where it is even possible to get married at!

The medieval market town of Zell am See is also just a few minutes away, nestling between the mountain and lake.
